The first of lasts

It’s the Sunday before school starts and I have a lot of back-blogging to write. I’m surprised at my level of productivity and organization these past 2 weeks. In anticipation of my hectic senior year it’s either be organized or die. As in legit organized with master calendars and google docs and not just scribbles on stickies and memory recall.

So, i’m going to dissect and compartmentalize the last remnants of my summer in the next couple of posts. There are thoughts and events in the last two weeks that are worth reminding myself about in the future. First, my last ACOMM planning seminar!

It was the best one I’ve ever had and I’m not saying that just because I’m EB. There’s a different sense of togetherness that’s bonding the EB-Core like never before. And it’s infectious! I think even the underclassmen are feeling it. The EB gets kilig whenever we see them falling in love with the org the way we have. We’re already seeing the signs! I can’t deny this energy!

Honestly, as EB it feels kind of strange being the ones calling (and giving HAHA) the shots now, the ones excusing ourselves to huddle and discuss the next moves to make for the best interest of our members.  It’s like “woah, i can’t believe i finally have that authority”, especially when you’re among friends. Although it’s scary, the responsibility is fulfilling to have because of all the trust that goes into it. That’s what makes me not want to betray it.

I’m going to miss this house. I’ve never been anywhere else during our planning seminars. We’ve maxed out our stay here but i’m glad that our last time was the very best.  See photos after the jump! Continue reading

Another Adventure Awaits!

  • 17-21 : Cagayan De Oro with friends
  • 22-24: ACOMM plevsem in Tagaytay

Although I’m a bit sad that I have to wait two weeks in order to be a bum at home, I am quite excited. I need to be shaken up right now.

Its going to a pretty busy & intense 2 weeks but when I come back I’ll surely have tons more stories to tell.

2010′s Summer 10

Out of town count: 6

Book count: 2 & a half

Gimmik count: Too many to count

It’s the last weekend of summer and I like wrapping up any chapter of my life with a Top 10! It’s been pretty busy and eventful. A lot of expected and unexpected things happened. I’ve said things I shouldn’t have said, made friends I didn’t think I would and took the initiative to try things I’ve never done before.

Almost every day of the week  got me out of the house.  In the past two months I’ve been a working girl by weekday, party girl by weeknight and beach bum by weekend!  So, in no particular order here’s my list of the top 10 moments that made my summer of 2010!

Kagulo

05.22-23.2010. Tagaytay

I’ve been kinda MIA with the singles group and our extended family this summer. So my reunion with them has been long over due.

I’m pretty much the bunso of the bunch given the fact that most of them are joining the work force  permanently now.  So I’ve missed my ate’s and kuya’s quite a bit. After all, they are mostly the ones responsible for conditioning me on how to always have a good time.

It was a much needed escape for some- an outlet for pent up tears and emotions; a time to be unleashed after being committed for years; and an excuse to simply get your drink on.

What more reason do you need? Kagulo indeed.
